Services
312 Lights provides professional holiday lighting installation, summer string light installation, event lighting, and related services throughout Chicago's North Shore region. All services are subject to availability and scheduling.
Deposits & Payment
All deposits are non-refundable.
By paying a deposit, you are securing your installation date and our team's time. Deposits cannot be refunded regardless of cancellation reason.
- A 50% deposit is required to secure your installation date
- The remaining balance is due on or before the date of installation
- Full payment is accepted at the time of booking for a streamlined experience
- We accept payment via credit card or debit card through our secure payment portal
- Invoices not paid within 7 days of the due date may incur a late fee
Scheduling & Rescheduling
We make every effort to honor scheduled installation and removal dates. We reserve the right to reschedule due to:
- Unsafe weather conditions (high winds, ice, heavy rain)
- Equipment or crew availability emergencies
In the event of a reschedule by 312 Lights, we will contact you promptly to arrange the earliest available alternative date. Rescheduling by the client is subject to availability and must be requested at least 5 business days in advance.
Cancellations & Refunds
If you choose to cancel your service after paying a deposit:
- Deposit: Non-refundable under all circumstances
- Amounts paid beyond the deposit: May be refunded for services not yet rendered, at our discretion, minus any materials already purchased or work already performed
- Partial services: If you request removal of a service not yet started, a partial refund may be issued for the unstarted portion
All refund requests must be submitted in writing to hello@312lights.com.
Property Access & Responsibility
- You grant 312 Lights permission to access your property to complete the installation and removal
- We take care around landscaping, gutters, and exterior features; however, we are not responsible for pre-existing damage
- Please notify us of any fragile landscaping, hidden utilities, or access restrictions prior to installation
- 312 Lights is not responsible for damage caused by extreme weather events after installation
Equipment & Materials
Rental model: Lights and hardware remain the property of 312 Lights and are returned at removal. Damage to rented equipment beyond normal wear may be billed at replacement cost.
Purchase model: Once installed, purchased lights become your property. We handle installation and removal; the equipment is yours to keep.
Warranty & Service Calls
We stand behind our work. If lights malfunction due to installation error, we will return at no charge within a reasonable timeframe. This warranty does not cover damage from weather, pets, accidental impact, or tampering.
Limitation of Liability
312 Lights' liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages.
